New to the University of Kent at Canterbury for 2016/17 is Touring/Sportive riding.
This is ideal for people who are new to cycling and want to start enjoying the freedom of the open road and exploring the country by bicycle. We cycle longer, steadier rides of roughly 50 miles on a Sunday, ensuring it is at an enjoyable pace to take in the views of the great British Countryside. Being in England’s garden and so close to the sea gives us the unique opportunity to ride along some stunning coastlines just 10 miles away from campus. We plan to organise weekly routes to historical sights across the South East of England, such as Deal Castle, Dover Castle, Battle of Britain Memorial and many more.
We also have aims to take part in Sportive’s throughout the year and across the country. Below are some examples of Sportives in the south east area.
